Before you convert
What gets converted?
Global develop settings, including exposure, color adjustments, grain, sharpening, white balance, and tone curves. Only adjustments present in your original preset are included.
Will my preset look exactly the same?
The converter preserves the settings; the result still depends on your photo, Lightroom version, and installed camera profiles. Custom profiles are not bundled in the XMP file.
What about brushes and local adjustments?
Presets with local corrections or embedded profiles aren’t supported here. You’ll see an error instead of a download with those settings missing. Convert those presets in Lightroom.
Can I convert XMP back to LRTEMPLATE?
This tool converts .lrtemplate to XMP. To inspect an existing XMP file, use the Lightroom Preset Viewer.
