Note on Looks
Looks are not included in the default downloadable preset. The reason is that they often require extra files installed on your system (e.g. many film emulation packs).
Without these files in place, the presets downloaded from PixelPeeper couldn't be imported. That's why PixelPeeper presets focus on universal settings. If you want to replicate the Look part, you can copy it manually, but in many cases, it won't have an effect without the looks installed on your computer first.
The "Full XMP Settings" version of the downloadable preset will include the look and other (complete) adjustments. If you have the required looks installed, you should be able to import this XMP file to Lightroom.

How this look was made
The edit creates a bright, crisp, largely desaturated cityscape with controlled highlights, open building detail, and subdued cool-green surroundings. Strong HSL remapping removes most yellow and reduces nearly every other color, leaving muted red roofs and dark cyan-green foliage as the main accents. Perspective correction and a substantial crop reinforce the orderly architectural composition.
Overall look
The photograph has a clean, cool-leaning urban-documentary appearance rather than a vivid landscape treatment. Adobe Color supplies the base rendering, while moderate contrast and clarity give the dense architecture definition. There is no added color grading, grain, vignette, or dehaze, so the finish remains straightforward and polished.
Light and tone
A small exposure lift (+0.20) brightens the frame. Highlights are pulled down strongly (-52) to preserve detail across pale roofs and the hazy sky, while shadows are raised (+38) to reveal streets, trees, and darker façades. Whites are then pushed substantially (+50), restoring a bright, high-key quality without simply letting the broad highlight regions wash out. Slightly lowered blacks, added contrast, and a gentle custom curve give the image firmer dark anchors and brighter upper midtones. Together, these adjustments compress extreme tonal differences while keeping the city visually crisp rather than flat.
Color
White balance remains As Shot at 5650 K with a slight magenta tint, but the distinctive palette comes mainly from HSL controls. Yellow saturation is removed completely, and green, red, orange, aqua, blue, purple, and magenta are all reduced to varying degrees. This suppresses colorful distractions and gives concrete, rooftops, and atmospheric distance a restrained near-neutral appearance. Large hue shifts move orange and yellow toward red/orange, while green is pushed toward aqua and aqua toward blue. Green, aqua, blue, and yellow luminance are raised, making foliage and distant atmospheric colors lighter and less heavy; red is darkened slightly. Inference: this combination helps the remaining muted red roofs stand apart from cooler cyan-green vegetation even though overall saturation is low.
Presence and detail
Clarity at +17 adds moderate local contrast around windows, rooflines, and building edges. Texture and dehaze are untouched, avoiding an overly gritty surface or an artificially darkened skyline. Standard sharpening is applied at Amount 40 with a 1.0 radius and Detail 25, with no masking, so edge enhancement is distributed broadly across the densely detailed frame. Color noise reduction is set to 25, while luminance noise reduction is absent. The ISO 100 capture materially supports this choice because little luminance-noise cleanup was likely required.
Geometry and composition
The image is cropped substantially from the original frame, concentrating attention on the central city blocks and stadium while removing peripheral space. Automated Upright perspective correction and the matching Sony FE 55mm lens profile help keep architectural lines orderly and correct lens distortion and vignetting. Inference: these corrections contribute to the map-like, structured presentation of the city, although some natural convergence remains visually plausible at this elevated viewpoint.
Effects
No post-crop vignette or grain is applied. This keeps brightness even from center to edges and preserves the clean digital finish appropriate to the architectural subject.
